Morning Glory
JHS Morning Glory Clone - June 2020
For this build, I used Pedal PCB's Morning Glory board. It is a clone of the JHS Morning Glory, which is a transparent overdrive circuit. This type of overdrive excels in the edge-of-breakup sound that is somewhere between a clean and dirty sound. It preserves the characteristics of your guitar signal and amp as opposed to other overdrives that add a distinctive mid-boost or mid-scoop. I typically use it as an always-on first stage overdrive, and stack it with a tube screamer for grittier tones.
